So I thought I'd post what I printed, and we can make this our essential oil section. I'm not sure which one of the ladies posted this b/c her name's not very clear. She got this info about herbs and oils from a book called Natural Hair Care and Braiding by Diane Carol Bailey. Massage it well into the scalp, wrap hair in plastic wrap, place a warm towel around your head. Leave it on 2-3 hours, or overnight. Shampoo the hair with a mild herbal shampoo (avoid medicated shampoo), so that you do not damage the sebum balance.

Turn off heat and let steep for 30 mins. Strain and mix into shampoo. An excellent mild herbal shampoo. I make/use this all the time whenever I use eo's in my hot oil treatment.

Any veggie oil will work: sweet almond, jojoba, grapeseed, canola, wheatgerm. I've started using sesame oil, even though it stinks worse than WGO. Here's a rule of thumb you can follow: 2-3 drops essential oil to one teaspoon base oil 6-7 drops essential oil to one tablespoon base oil 12-13 drops essential oil to one ounce base oil HTH. I'm trying to post some things that were erased. Guess I'll be posting stuff everyday

Maybe she will in time though.....it feels soooo good. Have you tried it yet? I add peppermint, lavender, chamomile, sage, burdock root, and rosemary to my pre-poo treatment. It is one stimulating treatment!

I brought one online that had a great combination of oils, but it was $20 for a small bottle. I ran out in less than a month... I figure I could make my own it would last much longer.

Another place I order from is: www.essential-oil.org They are out of Canada. Pretty good bargains here also. As for the peppermint oil, or any eo for that matter, you won't need to use adult doses on children. Just a drop or two should suffice. Unless you notice any irritation. I use lavender, tea tree, and chamomile on my grandkids, but just a couple of drops. Oh and I might put a drop of eucalyptus oil under their noses when they have colds. It seems to help them breathe easier. HTH. Peace.

I liked the way it smelled and it made my scalp tingle for a couple of days. This post is kinda long like the others . Hair Care Blends This is the basic one: 2 drops rosemary oil 2 drops lavender oil 2 drops clary sage 2 drops jasmine absolute (expensive; cost me 48 bucks for 5.0 ml/.17 fl. oz.; very small bottle, got it at bath and body works) 1/2 ounce base oil (jojoba or sweet almond) I used an avocado/jojoba blend that I also got from bath and body works Combine ingredients. No need to warm up base oil(s) b/c this treatment can be left on overnight w/ a plastic cap and scarf. Wear a shirt you don't mind getting oily. Gently apply oil(s) throughout hair. Cover head w/plastic cap and scarf. I used a cotton scarf for the extra heat. And I laid one of my hair 'towels' on my pillow. If u don't wanna leave it in overnight that's ok, but u have to leave it on for at least an hour. Add shampoo (I always use a herbal poo whenever I use eo's) directly to your head before you wet or rinse it. The shampoo emulsifies the oil(s), resulting in a much more thorough rinse. Now if you use this directly on your scalp and it feels irratating/uncomfortable, you could take 6-8 drops of the combined above ingredients and mix it with anothter 1/2 ounce of the base oil(s). You could also add the above ingredients to a mild, natural shampoo or conditioner, vinegar or base oil. Add 6-8 drops of undiluted essential oil blend to 1 Tbsp. of selected base.

I forgot the website, but I do know that I can't print out the rollersetting instructions she posted, but I was able to print out this info. I know some of these herbs are listed on previous posts, but there are some herbs on this post that I've never heard of.
