Re: TRANSLATION | ||

Hello To Everyone,
You all have great information on how to take care of our hair, I'm really excited to have found you all. The website that I found for Translations is babelfish.altavista.com/tr. I hope that it helps! You can put in 150 words and then hit translate and it will! It does English to Spanish and Spanish to English, plus a bunch of other languages. Now on to my hair, I have been trying to stretch my relaxer out to 12 weeks all the time, because I had an experience in the past where I colored my hair with the Beautiful Collection by Clairol. Well, I had black and then after 12 weeks tried to put on Brown and lost 14 inches of hair from the crown to the nape. It left me with an inch in the back after the damage was done over time. It seemed like something had mowed my hair down over time and everytime I put my hands in my hair in the back it just came out. Well, after wearing a phoney pony for the first time ever and washing and conditioning my hair every three days for a year it came back some and I tried to do braids. Well that was a big mistake for me because the braids dried it out and some lady who took them down cut them out. I really believe that she took out some of my hair with them. Not knowing that you needed a break, she braided my hair and did it soo tight I had bumps all in the back of my head the next morning. Needless to say, I have been taking care of my own hair after wearing wigs and phoney ponys and it is now growing back. All of the above happened from 2001-2003. That is why I feel SO BLESSED to have found you all. I will be trying to pre-poo and will be asking a few questions every now and then. I know this is long, but I also wanted to say ahead of time: THANK YOU TO YOU ALL AND I HOPE THAT EVERYONE'S HAIR IS BLESSED AND DOWN TO WHATEVER BODY PART THAT THEY WANT!!! You all stay blessed and I pray for anyone's family member's that are in the Gulf Coast |

Hi,
I used the Beautiful Collection in Jet Black but before I did I called the number on the back of the bottle because I was going to dye it the same day. I had relaxed it and they told me the same thing, it's just a rinse it will not do anything to your hair but add a little bit of color. I went on ahead and did it because back in 97 or so I used to get a perm that Iman had out with color and perm. My stylist used to do it and it used to wash out in about 3-4 months! I thought by using the Beautiful by Clairol I would be okay. Well, I didn't realized that it had a bad effect until after it was done and my pretty and soft permed hair had become like a broom. Just hard and dry. I put some gloss on it and combed through and after conditioning for a few weeks, it got soft again. It's just that second time, in the brown.....no more long hair. Just be careful if you get it and I NOW know if you color your hair be it a rinse or otherwise, wait for 2 weeks no matter what. I hope that helps and congratulations on your hair growth. It's wonderful to see your pix and the progress!! I can already see your hair around your waist in my mind! Just keep up the good work and I hope that Lord blesses all of your efforts. |

The Crystal Bath is by Kan Kanechomn and its great. I likey a whole lot
On 9/7 I deep conditioned with Rysell Coconut Treatment and I likey this as well. This is what I did: Pre-pooed with ORS Mayo and spiked it with a capful of cinnamon oil and 10 drops of peppermint oil. I also applied a lil bit of Profective Growth Masque b/c I wanted to use this up. Left on for 1 hr. 45 mins. No heat, just a plastic cap. Rinsed it out and applied this new poo I bought at a Mexican store out of town. I saw where they sold the Sedal poos and one of the conditioners. All of the labels are in spanish, so I can't read 'em. Anyway I washed my hair twice with the one called Adn Vegetal. It smells good and felt good on my hair. I added it directly on my hair, no water for the first lather. Both times I left the poo on for a few. After rinsing that out, I applied the Coconut Treatment w/EVOO. I was under the hooded dryer for about 5 mins. when I thought I'd rather be under my thermal cap. So I switched and left the treatment on for about an hour b/c I fell asleep I rinsed that out and applied D&L and Fantasia IC leave-ins and put coconut oil on my edges(this is becoming my best friend). I airdried so that I could see/feel how soft my hair would be once it dried. And boy oh boy was my hair soft, even the crown and kitchen |

Today isn't a regular wash day for me, but tomorrow is. So I rollerset my hair to see if this K Bello worked with the products I used to roll my hair. I just dampened it with a leave-in and added other products as I went along. Hopefully, I'll know something by the time I go to bed. It takes a longer time for my hair to airdry nowadays. Peace.

Olcow,
Yes I do have Emergencia. I haven't used it yet, but I wanna try it tomorrow. Supposedly its the equivalent to Nexxus Emergencee. I've been giving myself protein treatments at least 2-3x's a week now. Hopefully when I try this Emergencia, I'll be able to do 'em once a week. Peace. |

Hi Toomanygrandkids!!
Thank you for your support! It was in the small city that I grew up in here in Cali and I should have know better. They didn't even have a sink and I had to go home and wash my own hair. I am soo happy to have found you guys! Being out here in Cali, the women are very competitive with who does their hair and aren't really into telling you where to go. I have always asked women with beautiful hair where they got it done and who does it and I would get "Oh my friend" or "My stylist, I've had her forever". When I would ask for a card or number, they can't remember! You all are a blessing and I apologize for getting off subject, but I am still praying for our people in all of the Gulf Coast. It just breaks my heart to see our people out there and......I....just hope that the Lord moves our people into a position that nobody can take away from them. Thank you for the tips and I'm happy that your hair came out beautiful! |

Re: Dominican Products

Has anyone used any of the Kuz Product line? I am running low on my Salerm products and thinking about switching. I know they have Kuz at the Dominican shop I go to... It seems to be really good for treated or dyed hair. Because I am thinking about putting a rinse in my hair the next time I relax I may just order a Shampoo/Conditioner combination... Has anyone heard any reviews on the Product line????

Re: HELP/QUESTIONS...LEARN TO USE DOMINICAN PRODUCTS HERE

Well I used the Crom Emergencia this morning. Not bad, but I think I could've added something else to it, but I'll know for sure when I see how it effects my hair in a couple of days. Anyway, this is how I used it:
No pre-treatment b/c my rollerset yesterday came out HORRIBLE I washed twice w/Aphogee for Damaged Hair. On the last wash I put on drop peppermint and rosemary to the shampoo. And boy did my scalp feel tingling and clean. I left the poo on my hair for at least 5 mins., then rinsed and towel dried. Then I applied VO5 Kiwi/Lime Clarifying Conditioner. I'm starting to like using this before my actual conditioner. Left on for a few and rinsed and towel dried. I applied Emergencia and left it on for 10 mins., longer if you count the application time. It took me awhile to apply it b/c it molded tightly around my head. Didn't look like I even had hair for a minute. Anyway I didn't use any heat, not even a plastic cap. Since a lady on LHCF refers to this product as a lesser-known protein treatment, I'm now sitting here with a moisturizing combo of ORS Olive Oil and Moisturfuse with a plastic cap. I'll be rinsing out in a few minutes. Peace. |

Hey Baby!
I'm fine, thank you! Everything's going fine. Hair is doing well and I'm lovin' life in general right about now. Girl, you almost got me going on sickbay. But, I think I'm going to use up so more products which I already have first. Besides, I'm not thrilled with their customer service. Folks with consistent back order statuses frustrate me. But, maybe in 6 or so months I'll try them once. If I like the products, I just might have to find another source for the products. Hey.....so who makes that Emergencia that you spoke so highly of? |

Toomany,
How did the Emergencia work out... I am thinking you can use it like an Aphogee treatment or is it milder? ![]() Jan-Sept 2005 2 Month Protective Hair Challenge 2005 Summer Hair Challenge 365 Day Challenge ![]() www.picturetrail.com/olcow |
