ok well i am new to the relaxing thing and i am relaxing my hair for the first time this weekend. I hear about how many people burn and lose there hair during the rinse out process...however i dont want this to happen to me because my hair is shoulder lenght hair and i do not think i would look pretty bald!!! What is the best product to use on my hair and what is the difference between "super" and "regular" strong relaxers???

Hi! does anyone out there know a good MILD & GENTLE RELAXER for soft, curly but thick afro-hair?
I have in the past used Beatiful beginnings, SOft & free (green container) and TCB Naturals but all these ended up being too strong for my hair, so it ended up breaking a lot that i had to shave off for all those three times and start a fresh...now i have freshly grown hair since March this year but it will be easy to manage if i straighten it out but i am looking for a gentle mild...

ive been checking out this message board and black hair media for a while, joined sometime and had to rejoin again (lost log-in and cant remember what email i signed up under lol, im getting old LOL) anyway, its been 4 weeks now since my last relaxer and im thinking of doing the baggy bun thingy and i've tried finding how to do the bun w/ the sock on here but couldnt, can someone tell me how to do this, pls thanks.

I have been a "slave" to the flat and curling irons! My hair is still pretty damaged, but very slowly getting better. I am looking for styles that do not require heat tools. I bought this phony pony and it came looking really brown like #33 and i just found out my hair color is more like a #2. Its one of the wavy curly tip ponies. would this be in style if i where with my roots being darker than the poinie???

Hello, every1!! I have been away a long whie because I have been busy and sick. I have a dilemna. I have aften rested my hair with human hair box braids braided to my ends. My stylist suggested that I just braid the roots or a little past it instead since my hair was healthy (plus she is lazy; too lazy to braid all the way down). Any way, so I agreed and became hooked. I just got my hair relaxed 3 months ago...I used to wear my hair in braids, and have never really had a relaxer before. Can anyone tell me how to take care of my relaxed hair so that it grows and doesnt break?
1. What do i do after I wash it
2. How do I keep it mousterized during the week
3. If i'm not supposed to blowdry and flatiron at the same time, how do i dry my hair so that it doesnt dry brittle?
